The World: A Nation Only!

'One World: One Nation'
The above statement is quixotic and high-headed (Agreeably like an assured hoax). However, all its impracticality has been ushered in by the current situation of the world. Nations and individuals who have been politically primed by divisive and nationalistic politicians tend to forget the purpose for the creation of the country - administration, protection and cultural identification.

Our world is too divided to appreciate the benefits of an earth-wide union. While previous attempts at this have been made by the global community (in puncto League of Nations, United Nations), these attempts have been substantially mellowed by the incompetence of nations. Today, the idea has vast support across borders under different monikers - World government, One World Government, One Nation etc.

The entire intricacy and operation of this colossal power can be read in books such as The Idea of World Government, Political Globalization, Global Democracy etc. However, OneWorld shall restrain itself to briefly summarizing the idea. The government would essentially subdue the powers of the subordinate nation-states. While the daily administration of regions would be under the nation-states, the essential portfolio powers (defence, finance and home ministries) would be under the jurisdiction of the world government. Essentially, a democratic system has been developed to disallow the dominance of any culture or community above others.

How? According to the preferential theory, there are two major systems to follow - World Democracy or World Communism. The latter advocates against this flaw by promoting a government which is ruled by the proletariat, which has no nationality (As of accordance to The Communist Manifesto). To add on, it states that Marxist communism is only fulfilled with the union of all nations. It reaches its true potential (So the Internationale says) when such conditions are achieved.

The former system dictates for a semi-proportional semi-electoral democracy. In this case, proportional representation is advocated for at a higher-level council. This form prevents the dominance or subordination of smaller ethnic cultures, nationalities etc.

The most prominent advantages are noticeable at first glance - non-nuclear proliferation, no war, financial backing, the rise of humanism in diplomacy (hopefully). When the nations unite, the world will awake. While the idea is still impractical, the tribulations of propagating such ideals are long past. The movements have begun to dismiss nationalism. Patriotism will endure as the new strain of support to the Earth. For the time has come to crown patriotism at the top of political virtue whilst trashing nationalism for its suspicious attitude.

OneWorld believes that One World is nearer today to a dream than a reality. However, times have changed, and will too. The crowning glory of humanity awaits it at the pulpit of a world-nation.

Economy of India: Currently

Currently, our economy is at the lower edge of the business cycle. It will have fallen to a (Moody's) forecasted growth rate of 5.8 per-cent in the fiscal year 2020. The Economy of India is currently trying to improve but remains under duress. The incumbent BJP of India has delivered an influx of legislation upon the pressing issue. From the removal of 'angel' tax to the expedited refund of GST for MSMEs, the government has procured a slew of measures for averting a profound economic slowdown. Lamentably, the government's political moguls seem not to pay much heed to the increasingly devastating problem. In their assemblies and discourses, they tend to bring about more populist ideologies in their manifestos rather than economic ones.  While the multitudes are affected by this intense situation, the publicly mandated government's regulation is proving slightly inefficient. These laws seem to protect and conserve the uppermost one per-cent of the nation. India

Critiquing the Farm Laws: The Angst Explained

Tears stream from the eyes of the vast multitude of farmers camping on the outskirts of Delhi. Brown, watery eyes haze and blur the hundreds of posters and flags these people carry – many young, many old, women and men. Two months and more have passed since the formulation of nationwide farmers’ protests (but mainly concentrated to the North of India: Punjab and Haryana). While the government spars with the desperate (mainly rural and marginal) farmers, the ordinary protesting farmer spars with unfairness – be it the media, economists, capitalists or simply, the common man. There lies some truth in the actions of the farmers, who have protested, rallied, and held their tongues when radically insulted by tabloid journalists. In this article, the author aims to examine the three laws. The government passed three laws: The Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; The Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services

A World Without Barriers

'Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high Where knowledge is free Where the world has not been broken up into fragments By narrow domestic walls' - Rabindranath Tagore (Where the mind is without fear) One hundred ninety-five countries exist today. They shouldn't. Today, the world is more fragmented than ever. Of course, we mustn't grumble. Due to the break-up of the European states' immense empires and the increased dissatisfaction amongst other imperialist powers, this situation has arisen.  Let us delve further back into history. Nations were not just infinitely present throughout the past. They were founded. These nations arose from a sentiment of ethnonationalism. Humans are social animals and take pride in contending life as a part of a larger group or community. This strain of evolutionary mindset endures to this day. Dear reader, look back and reminisce the last time you connected with the stranger sauntering by for being of yo
