Lynching: Time To Act

Lynching is a cruel method of mob violence in which mobs kill a person for an alleged violation without a legitimate legal trial. In the last five years, lynching has increased posthaste. To immense grief, numerous lynching victims do not receive the justice they rightly deserve. In the rare cases which are resolved, justice is substantially delayed due to prolonged timespans.
Due to the periodic appearance of lynching incidents in India, such occurrences have become the new normal.  We must prevent this attitude from propagating in society. Such events corrode humanity in ourselves.
A prominent leader of an influential organisation in India; recently stated that lynching was a Western construct, and shouldn't be used to defame India. The statement can be analysed in parts. The truth lies in the assertion that mob lynching is a western notion. Witch hunts are typical examples of lynching in Europe. However, these incidents subsided with the execution of strict laws.
In India, we await such a steadfast implementation of similar laws. Unfortunately, while other nations progress towards stringent legislation, India is left behind, blaming others. In the USA, a group of legislators are battling to make lynching a hate crime with severe consequences. This may not be the ideal solution, yet it is a start.
The Occident has realised the real brutality of lynching and is working towards eradicating it. They have begun defeating the monster they created. In India too, we must stop this 'Western construct' known as lynching. Indeed, it is of occidental origins, yet it is not the Occident which propagates it anymore.  The Indians who commit such sins are no longer influenced by the West. It is unjust to blame others for our sins. We must actuate the government to provide infrastructure and framework to conquer this monstrosity. It is time we stop talking and start doing.

Economy of India: Currently

Currently, our economy is at the lower edge of the business cycle. It will have fallen to a (Moody's) forecasted growth rate of 5.8 per-cent in the fiscal year 2020. The Economy of India is currently trying to improve but remains under duress. The incumbent BJP of India has delivered an influx of legislation upon the pressing issue. From the removal of 'angel' tax to the expedited refund of GST for MSMEs, the government has procured a slew of measures for averting a profound economic slowdown. Lamentably, the government's political moguls seem not to pay much heed to the increasingly devastating problem. In their assemblies and discourses, they tend to bring about more populist ideologies in their manifestos rather than economic ones.  While the multitudes are affected by this intense situation, the publicly mandated government's regulation is proving slightly inefficient. These laws seem to protect and conserve the uppermost one per-cent of the nation. India...

Critiquing the Farm Laws: The Angst Explained

Tears stream from the eyes of the vast multitude of farmers camping on the outskirts of Delhi. Brown, watery eyes haze and blur the hundreds of posters and flags these people carry – many young, many old, women and men. Two months and more have passed since the formulation of nationwide farmers’ protests (but mainly concentrated to the North of India: Punjab and Haryana). While the government spars with the desperate (mainly rural and marginal) farmers, the ordinary protesting farmer spars with unfairness – be it the media, economists, capitalists or simply, the common man. There lies some truth in the actions of the farmers, who have protested, rallied, and held their tongues when radically insulted by tabloid journalists. In this article, the author aims to examine the three laws. The government passed three laws: The Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; The Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services ...

Are We Autistic In Our Thinking?

Autism is a state of mental activity far beyond the grasp of human knowledge. The condition shows varied outputs, but what goes on inside the autistic people is unknown to  mankind. Down Syndrome is yet another misunderstood genetic disorder. Facial disfigurement and other such defects are found in children affected by down syndrome. Here too, science cannot tell the goings-on of afflicted people.  Conservative societal norms have long shadowed stricken people and forgoed them as subhumans. As Calvin (comic) rightly put it “Some people just don’t like variety”. Due to such irrational norms, many such people have been placed on the edges of society. In this dark representation of the world, humanity lights the path. Help came to the affected community in the way of different NGOs and one of them is Sandesh(NGO). Sandesh pins the hopes and dreams of the marginalised section by giving them a purpose. Members here are shown the way to join the workforce and rise in its ranks...
